“A Little Russian Romance” with Tchaikovsky, Kabalevsky and Borodin featuring two outstanding young violinists Our concert “A Little Russian Romance” features Alicia Huang and Minji Choi, the Junior and Intermediate winners of our 2024-25 Parness Competition, in violin concertos by Kabalevsky and Tchaikovsky. Maestro Clyde Mitchell and the orchestra begin the program with Borodin’s “In the Steppes of Central Asia” and end with Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 2, “The Little Russian.”
