Just in time for Halloween, Symphony San Jose conjures up some of Broadway’s scariest melodies. Conductor Peter Jaffe will certainly don a spooky costume for this musical journey into the darker side of the Great White Way.
Symphonic Spooktacular features “Bewitching Broadway” with a lineup of Broadway’s most mysterious and macabre musical hits. Featured are ghostly harmonies and spine-tingling masterpieces from the stage, including Stephen Schwartz’s Wicked, Frank Wildhorn’s Jekyll & Hyde, Kurt Weill’s The Threepenny Opera, Alan Menken’s Little Shop of Horrors, Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods and many more.
It’s the perfect Halloween concert for the entire family. An on-stage Costume Contest with Spooktacular prizes will be held for those who feel like dressing up. Don’t feel like dressing up? Come as you are and enjoy the costume parade.
