Livermore-Amador Symphony: Dramatic Voices

Enjoy a season finale that packs a punch! The concert opens with a small group accompanying harpist Charlotte Trinh, a winner of this season’s Competition for Young Musicians, in Introduction and Allegro by Ravel. Steve Sanchez, a captivating performer and virtuoso clarinetist, will perform Oscar Navarro’s second clarinet concerto, a work truly cinematic in its scope and jazzy in its sensibilities. Pioneering American composer Amy Beach’s Symphony No. 2 transports us to her Gaelic roots through musical imagery and folk song. A dramatic finish to a beautiful season of music! The concert is led by Music Director and Conductor Lara Webber. During intermission, the Irish band Sixpenny will entertain with traditional Irish tunes. After the concert join Webber and the musicians at a complimentary reception featuring Livermore Valley wines. Also included in admission: Webber’s preconcert talk, 7-7:15. Tickets for youth under age 22 are always free.
