Applications are being accepted now through Friday, May 8, 2025, for ACSO’s 30th Annual Most Valuable Player (MVP) Volunteer Awards. The awards are designed to give recognition to a few of the hundreds of dedicated, hardworking and committed volunteers that orchestras depend on every day. 

From board members, to education providers, to marketing and outreach support, to fundraisers, and in many other capacities, these individuals willingly give their time and talents to make sure music organizations thrive. 

The MVP Volunteer Award is not a competition but an opportunity for your extraordinary volunteers to be recognized publicly. 

An administrative staff leader of an ACSO member organization may submit a completed nomination form, which constitutes the sole basis of the award being given. To honor the good work of your volunteer, we encourage nominators to be intentional, detailed, and specific when answering the questions on the award nomination. 

Nominations may be made for an individual volunteer, a volunteer committee, or a volunteer organization (such as a league or guild). ACSO will publicly announce the award winners in June 2025 and winners will be recognized during the 2025 Annual Conference in Costa Mesa (August 7-9, 2025). 

Note: Each organization may nominate a maximum of TWO volunteers per year. Volunteers who have won this award in the past five years may not be nominated again. Email office@acso.org to confirm if someone has won the award in the past five years.
